'Run away only if your feet are blind too' is Toph's mantra when she goes exploring new worlds on her own. She is as cautious as she must be, waiting and listening, but curiosity always gets the best of her. Toph lets it. It keeps her life interesting.
She curls her toes, pressing them into the dirt. It could be worse. The ground beneath her feet may not be rock, but it is also neither wood or shifting sand. She is not blind, and the edges of things are only a little blurred as the earth shifts. Taking a step, Toph lets the vibrations send her a picture of the area around her, spreading outward. She chuckles gleefully. Metal. Giant structures, shaped in ways she's never felt before.
Toph thinks she could get to like it here.

So the small movement below doesn't pass his eye.
Not many traversed into the Hollow, and though the figure is small, he can't be too careful. The General's brow furrows, his mouth curling into a deepening scowl. And within his fingers, seconds upon the newcomer's arrival, is a bomb, twirling in gloved fingers for only a moment before it's chucked her way.
Are you having fun now, Toph?

She throws a wall between herself and the bomb as it combusts with a stomp of her foot and gesture of her hand. She isn't quick enough to evade all injury, though, and Toph winces at the burn she can feel on her right arm. She hadn't done anything to deserve that. Whoever lives here is apparently touchy about trespassers. Toph is incredibly grateful her feet remain uninjured.
Because Toph doesn't take things lying down, her shout of, "Hey, what's the big idea!?" comes accompanied by a rock hurtling up toward where she thinks the bomb came from.
She raises a wall in front of her as well, angled to protect somewhat from overhead shots in case the answer is another bomb.

Brief, because the next rock comes at a breakneck speed and the Lombax is forced to think quickly, leaping over the projectile as it impacts with the surface of his hut, then landing on a nearby rail for a quick getaway. Let her follow as she will, but he was not going to be taken prisoner again today.

Now she's following him, though, which she supposes could be taken as antagonism. On metal rails, though, Toph feels safe enough. The metal under her feet surges, carrying her along behind him. She grins, her feet and hands moving to readjust her movement. This is fun. She'll have to make peace with its inhabitant, she supposes, because Toph really wants to explore more.
She is leaving the rail how she left it as she passes, so she doesn't really care if the stranger takes issue with her temporary damage to his rail system.
